I'm a paralegal, 31, male, straight, a meat-eater, liberal-leaning and getting more so, fairly low impact in my living habits ecologically. Love to hike, run, backpack, and mountain climb. I also read a lot and do yoga, and I would like to start learning buddhist meditation more thoroughly. I wouldn't say I closely identify with any particular religious tradition, but buddhism is probably the closest. I'd like to do more biking this summer.
I moved here from Denver last August, partly for work, partly to enjoy the northwest environment and lifestyle. I have a cat who is 5 years old.
I also have furniture, which I can sell or bring with depending on the need: a couch, loveseat, coffee table, end table, lamps, oak dinner table + 4 chairs.
I studied philosophy in college: I have a philosophical perspective on things. I'm a thinking big picture person, analytical, reflective, laid-back, calm and confident. I participate in some social philosophical discussion groups here. But I'm still witty and fun and like to laugh and have a good time with people. I love conversation with anybody and everybody, and I'm a good conversationalist. I tend to be a deep thinker (sometimes incapable of small talk). I'm the type that is theoretical, logical, abstract, easygoing and flexible, resistant to authority and not prone to order others, need my own space sometimes, sometimes insensitive to the feelings or needs of others (I work to avoid this), shy (though it might not seem that way sometimes), sometimes varying between quiet and argumentative: the absent-minded professor type. I'm also a pretty decent cook, especially of soups and breakfast foods. :) I'm clean and tidy but not to a religious degree.
I'm considerate and respectful ; flexible and willing to acmodate others' needs; at the same time, I can municate my boundaries in a fair way, and they're mostly the same reasonable sort of social contract types of things that anyone would have: the golden rule of the
I get up 6am - 8am.I go to bed 10pm - 12am. I eat almost anything. My level of cleanliness is best described as average. I occasionally have overnight guests. I party occasionally.
My work schedule is best described as "professional (9-5)". My professional occupation is legal.

I am looking for roommates between the ages of
25 and 37.
I don't mind if my roommates smoke outside only.
I prefer a household without children.

I'm a paralegal in patents for a downtown law firm. It pays the bills. I'm 31, male, straight, a meat-eater, liberal-leaning and getting more so (at least for the past 5 years or so). Fairly low impact in my living habits ecologically, though there's always room for improvement. For fun, I hike, run, backpack, and mountain climb. I go in phases but in the summer I'll be pretty intense about it. I'll probably be gone doing one of these things nearly every weekend. I also read a lot and do yoga, and I would like to start learning buddhist meditation more thoroughly. I wouldn't say I closely identify with any particular religious tradition, but buddhism is probably the closest, or a sort of post-modern All is One social/civic creed. I'd like to do more biking this summer, like to/from work. I would say I'm about 50-50 split between home and out nights and weekends, and generally pretty quiet when home though I would have friends or a date over occasionally. I also have a car - how's parking?
I moved here from Denver last August, partly for work, partly to enjoy the northwest environment and lifestyle. I have a cat who is 5 years old - her name is Penny. She's very sweet and friendly, if not a little shy at times. She has claws and is indoor. She's a tiny thing, only 8 pounds, and kind of a little princess (she acts that way I swear, prancing around and demuring and so forth). Do you currently have any cats or other pets?

Hope to hear from you - and meet you soon!
