I have a room to rent in my downtown apartment. You'll get a bedroom and a bathroom to yourself, and I'll throw in access to Franklin, the house spearmint plant. My place is in a former bank located in downtown's Historic Core, across the street from the former Los Angeles Stock Exchange. The building was converted to housing in the 1980s, during one a previous attempt to "revitalize" downtown. Friendly security guards keep watch on the door 24 hours a day, and friendly neighbors offer a 'munity' vibe. The place is within walking distance of two subways stops, and bus lines to just about everywhere in L.A. – so it's great for staying out of your car. It's close to the Fashion District, Flower Market, Jewelry District, and Little Tokyo. It's also convenient to FIDM, the Otis College of Art and Design fashion campus, and USC. There's even a convenience store right downstairs for when you desperately need more soy milk, an avocado, or paper towels. Anyway, the apartment has new paint, new carpet, new kitchen appliances, indus windows and a 7th-story view of the downtown skyline and Broadway. There's a dishwasher and air conditioning. I have digital cable, DVR and Internet. (We'll split that bill and the DWP bill.) The building also has 12 washers and dryers, a workout room, a rooftop lounge, and a 'business center'. I am a 23 year old graphic designer with a busy schedule. I like music, the Office, Contemporary design, knitting, sewing, Project Runway, reading and cooking. I am vegetarian and it would be better if you were also. I don't drink, but I don't care if you do. You can't smoke in the apartment but I don't care if you smoke outside. for pictures or to see the place.

I get up 6am - 8am.I go to bed 12am - 2am. I eat vegetarian. My level of cleanliness is best described as average. I rarely have overnight guests. I party rarely.

I live in a 1 person female only household. Age 23 - 23.  My work schedule is best described as "mixed". My professional occupation is architecture/ design. Children do not live with me. I do not have any pets.

I am looking for roommates between the ages of 18 and 35. I don't mind if my roommates smoke outside only.  I prefer a household without children.  I don't mind if my roommates have a pet cat, a pet dog.   

I enjoy reading, knitting, sewing, cooking.  I listen to indie, electro, art / life without buildings, !!!, chromeo, bright eyes, pes, sleater kinney, etc.  My favorite books are jeeves and wooster, the stranger.  If I am in front of a TV, I usually watch the office, project runway.
